Drawing/Painting
A hobby of mine that I devote the most time to is drawing. I am mostly self taught, although I certainly picked up a few important skills in my school's Contemporary Media and Arts class. I mainly enjoy drawing from pictures and trying to make the images realistic, but lately I have been experimenting with ways to express my own style and creativity. Painting, too, has helped me to embrace my own creativity. These are a few of my favorite pieces:

At my school we have the option to take a variety of tech arts classes in the shops. Through the program, I have learned about design thinking, problem solving, and using power tools, and I have thoroughly enjoyed using this knowledge to make different furniture (and other projects). The first few images show the process of an end table I was working on until school closed, designed specifically so that it can fit a weird angle in my wall and allow a door to open in front of it. The second few show a different table I made in the wood shop - primarily using a lathe. The final image shows one of two planter boxes I made with classmates for César Chávez Elementary School in San Francisco.
